Election Administration Certificate

Elevate the next generation of election professionals.

Arizona's elections are run by people: the professionals who register voters, test and secure equipment, count ballots, and certify results. To help train the next generation of that workforce, Northern Arizona University partnered with the Arizona Secretary of State's Office to create the Election Administration Certificate, a nonpartisan program that prepares undergraduates, graduate students, and working professionals for careers in election administration.

The heart of the program is a paid fellowship that places each student in county elections and Recorder’s offices, in rural communities where trained help is hardest to find. Graduates of the first cohort already hold leadership roles, including the Chief Deputy Recorder and Elections Director of Mohave County, and twenty students complete the certificate and fellowship every year.

Invest in hands-on experience.

Your gift to the Election Administration Education Fund helps provide paid fellowships that give students the opportunity to apply what they learn while gaining valuable, real-world experience in election offices across Arizona.

By supporting these fellowships, you are helping students build practical skills, gain professional experience, and prepare for careers in election administration while providing additional support to local election offices.

Thank you for your axe of kindness!

Make a gift to the Election Administration Education Fund today and help provide the next generation of election professionals with the experience and preparation they need to serve communities across Arizona.
